Fetish Film
(exploring the links between sexuality and creativity)
Big Willie Style! LiMBO talks style and shopping with Kylie style guru and close friend
William Baker with questions submitted by visitors to LiMBO.
>> From Chris: "I heard a rumour that the showgirl costume (Lucky, DQ & DG) was very
inexpensive to make. Apparently the rumour goes that you went to a Habadashery store and
bought all the materials for $30. I know that she is tiny, but that is a bit much! Of
course it is worth more once blood, sweat & tears. That is of course not counting the
headpiece which was bought from a well known Fetish Shop in Fitzroy, near the rehearsals.
>> (Chris) No truth whatsoever. The showgirl feather headpiece was made by a milliner in
Melbourne called Philip Rhodes, and the materials for the corset were bought from a
haberdashery store but for more than $30. Love, that wonÕt buy a zip these days. It took
soooooo long to make that thing. There were about 4 different people who pitched in . It
probably took 2 weeks solid to make. I never want to see another sequin as long as I live.
